At SEND Business Centre we are continually looking for ways in which we can improve the lift of those renting our shared office spaces in Woking, which is why we’re pleased to announce the new Electric Vehicle Chargers now available for use.
Whilst we also encourage the use of bicycles with our onsite cycling facilities, we also recognise that more people are looking to reduce their carbon footprint. In 2021, new EV registrations were 76.3% higher than the year before with 190,727 new electric cars being sold. There are an estimated 477,000 electric cars (EVs) on the road in the UK and over 790,000 plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), as of June 2022. The cost of fuel and uncertainty in its provision is likely to continue this trend in environmentally friendly transport.
As a result of this, we’ve installed 6 new ‘type 2’ EV Charging Points at SEND Business Centre, to enable those with electric or hybrid vehicles to have confidence that they will be able to drive their vehicle to and from work safely at preferential rates compared to commercially. They are all 22kW and listed on Zap map for convenience, and we foresee them being just another excellent facility that drives people to consider SEND Business Centre a great shared office space facility in Surrey.
